When is the time right?
Are you struggling to resolve distress or challenges in your life without making progress on your own. Do you feel overwhelmed and unable to see your way out of negative thought patterns, or free of uncomfortable emotions. Maybe you don’t have a reliable family member or friend who is removed enough from your problems to be helpful.
Are your day-to-day interactions with friends, family, or co-workers suffering, stressed or strained? Have loved ones or trusted friends suggested you might think about getting help? Are past issues resurfacing, or have sudden changes rocked your foundation? You don’t need to suffer. We can work through this.
As a registered Clinical Counsellor my job is to put you and your experience at the centre of our work. I establish a warm, professional working relationship with people very much like you. Your goals are my goals, and we will check in on how we are progressing toward them. Your input is important throughout the process.
There is art and science to listening - and questioning. I bring genuine and professional empathy into the therapeutic relationship; feelings get processed, insights are gained, and options expand. I will be authentic with you, but our sessions are always about you.
I hear themes and see patterns that you may have come to accept as The-Way-Things-Are rather than choices or perspectives. I follow people’s stories and gain a sense of what is missing for them, and how they get in their own way. When I “challenge” people it is gentle and respectful with the aim of moving us along our path, toward your goal.
I look forward to hearing from you... when the time is right.
